Ukiyoe, a prominent form of woodblock print in Japanese art history, has not only garnered the admiration of painting masters like Van Gogh and Monet, but is also carefully preserved in major museums worldwide. This exhibition centers around the theme of ukiyoe, presenting original woodblock prints from nine renowned artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige, and Kitagawa Utamaro. Through these prints, the exhibition unveils the developmental trajectory of ukiyoe, which has left a significant mark in Japanese art history.

The exhibited works in this exhibition include Katsushika Hokusai's “Hyakunin Isshu Nurie Kai” series, Kitagawa Utamaro's “Four Seasons of Elegance and Leisure(Fūryū Shikisai Yū),” Utagawa Hiroshige's “Famous Places in Edo: Shinagawa Gotenyama(Meisho Edo Hyakkei: Shinagawa Goten-yama),” Utagawa Kunisada and Utagawa Kuninaga's “Flowers of the Genji Six Poems at Rokujō(Genji Rokujō no Hana),” Toyohara Kunichika's “Shinmen Suikoden Genji Den: Shikimu Dansaemon Kawahara Kigen Jūrō,” and other classic works by renowned artists.
