The current exhibition, "The Splendor of Engraving: The Louvre's Chalcography," features 108 copper engravings from the 17th to the 20th century, all from the Louvre Museum's collection, showcasing the brilliance of the Louvre Museum's artistic treasures. Among them, the highly Baroque-style "Portrait of Louis XIV" is a rare gem.
As a national art troupe directly under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the China Symphony Orchestra represents not only the highest professional level domestically but also serves as a cultural envoy conveying friendship through music. Over the years, it has made outstanding contributions to cultural exchanges between China and other countries. At the opening ceremony, the China Symphony Orchestra performed the first movement of "Spring" from Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," highlighting the characteristics and charm of Baroque music. "Baroque" is an art style that prevailed in Europe from 1600 to 1750, with unique developments in architecture, sculpture, music, painting, and more.
Meet You Museum and the China Symphony Orchestra have come together to provide audiences with a "painting + music" feast in the Baroque style, marking the beginning of their strategic cooperation. In the future, the two sides will jointly develop and implement public cultural and artistic projects, promote the fusion, exchange, and collision of music and art, advance the popularization of art education, attract more young people to understand classical art, provide audiences with multidimensional cultural enjoyment across boundaries, and offer richer cultural and artistic experiences for the public.
